The National Wrestling Advancement Association (NWAA) is the wrestling division of the National Association for the Advancement of Athletes, a non-profit in process of 501(c)3 status as an educational & charitable support based non-profit organization.

     The mission of the NWAA is to advance wrestlers through its premier WREST (Wrestling Reflection Education Skills Training) program.

     'WREST' (Wrestling Reflection Education Skills Training) is a mat/life integration process that equips and empowers wrestlers to learn as much from their sport as they learn to perform their sport.

     The NWAA's aim is that one day all USA trained athletes will be required to learn, for personal and professional development, as much from their choices/performances within their sport as is required of them to learn how to perform their sport.

     'ASPIRE' (All Sports Processing Integrative Reflection Education) is that sport/life integration process for all other sports as 'WREST' is the mat/life integration process for wrestlers.

Lis McGovern, M.Div is the Founder, C.E.O. & President of the National Association for the Advancement of Athletes (NAAA) and currently serves as the organizing Executive Director of the National Wrestling Advancement Association (NWAA).  Lis adores and is married to wrestling coach, Jon McGovern and resides in Dubuque, Iowa.
